In Self-Discovery
I always had a doubt about why some people think so positively and react so differently in certain situations while many others don’t. When I grew up, I found the answer to this and realized that our behaviour and the way we react really depend on the way we saw people around us reacting to those situations. It’s like we saw it and thought that it's the way to act when this situation occurs in our life. History really repeats itself, and we can say that it is because we are doing the same things that our grandparents or parents did in a particular situation, we do it exactly the same way. I found this out when I started living alone. I noticed that I also had certain behaviours that I never liked about my parents. Then it hit me that I must have some other behaviours also, so I started to notice. I noticed that I was reacting in a similar way my family reacted in those situations. It was definitely not easy to change the inherited habits, but it was important to discover my true self. If I keep acting the same way that people did around me, then I would never be able to discover my true self. I tried things, but ultimately the solution was to be aware of how I am reacting, waiting before I say something, and thinking before important decisions. I have found out things about myself and have created my own way since then. This is my journey to self-discovery, and I believe that we all should start noticing the way we react and behave and how much this is because of the influence of our family. Then only in my opinion, one can actually discover the real person they are.

A few years ago, I began working in Bangalore. When I had some time off, I decided to take a solo trip to Ooty🌳With four days to myself, it was the perfect opportunity to try traveling alone.✈️🧳 I packed my bags and set off on my adventure. The best part? There was no drama of yaha nahi jaana, yh nahi karna, it felt like freedom.😍 As this is a story about my first solo trip, I won't go into detail about what I saw. Instead, I'll share my feelings and insights from the experience that might help you decide whether to take a solo trip. 😉 When I reached, I was absolutely stunned by the beauty of Ooty😇. At first, I was a bit scared. Being alone in a new place with no one I knew made me feel nervous. I was alert the whole time, watching everything closely, and too scared to ask for anything🫤. At times, I felt lonely too. But despite these small challenges, the best part of the trip was the freedom it afforded me. I was able to explore the area exactly how I wanted.🥳 Being surrounded by nature🌄was a peaceful and calming experience that made me realize how important it is to spend time with myself. This was the moment I came to appreciate the value of solo travel🗺️. When you travel alone, you learn more about who you really are and find your true self, because you're spending time with yourself the entire time⏳. After this trip, there was no turning back. I now try to take at least one solo trip every 4-5 months. It's all about that first trip, and once you experience the freedom and peace it offers, you'll fall in love with it.💖

I graduated during the covid lockdown and then started my "work from home" job. I was living in the comfort of my home for 3 to 4 years. At home, I was dependent on others as I am the youngest child in the family and you know how they are treated EVIL LAUGH... LOL!😈 In short, I was living the best life... getting money at the comfort of my home, enjoying every little bit of this oh-so-relaxing lifestyle. But then, my Jethalal wali kundli couldn't see my happiness and got into play.🤦‍♂️ My company started to call us back to the office... which means I had to go to a completely new city, Bangalore. Trust me when I say this, I considered leaving my job. I had a complete breakdown... as I was so comfortable in my little space and routine, wake - work - eat - Netflix - repeat.🙃 Left with no option I unwillingly left for Bangalore.✈️ I shifted to my aunt's house there and that was a relief. First day of office was daunting. I did not talk to anyone for like a week... I used to get my task... would finish it and then leave for home. But, had to move out of my aunt's house which forced me to interact with colleagues."Talk about general things" was my mantra. I started reading trending news so that I'll have topics to talk about🙃. Started getting out of that comfort zone, made friends and luckily found colleagues who wanted a flatmate.🏢 I learned so many new things which I could never have in the protected environment of my house like discipline, emergency cooking, laundry and much more😄 I believe that just like baby birds leave their nests to fly, we also need to leave our comfort zone to succeed and grow.
