As a photographer, I often find myself on the go. My schedule is always packed. Staying active while working can be tough, especially when I'm outside.
One thing that has helped me stay active is integrating exercising with work. Whenever I'm on a photography trip, I make it a point to visit some hiking spots. Not only do I get some beautiful shots, but I also get a good workout. I thought that I had found a perfect way to be active but it was actually not the case.
I realised that this isn't a feasible solution as I can't always find a hiking spot or I just don't have time or energy. Also, this was not possible when I had to sit and edit photographs. Another potential solution was joining a gym but it was also difficult to fit into my already-packed schedule.
So, I decided to join an online workout class. It was perfect for my busy schedule. I can log in from anywhere, at any time. The problem with this was I could easily skip the classes. But this was the best solution to keep myself active with my busy schedule. So, I started to reward myself after every week I worked regularly. Then slowly, I changed it to every time I hit a fitness goal.
Now, after almost a year of working out daily, it has become my routine and I feel low in energy whenever I skip a day.
Through this experience, I have realised that you need to find the solution that fits you. If you are also struggling with being active, then my experience might help you. Just start wherever you are and do what you like, indulge in some sport or join an online workout class just like I did.
