When I first started my career, I was completely consumed by my job, chasing success at any cost. I was so focused on work that I forgot to take care of myself and my family. I was constantly missing important events and was never truly present when I was with them😐. To make matters worse, I was taking on tasks that weren't even in my department, just to please my clients. I was overworked and overwhelmed.🙃
But then I realized something important😬: I needed to set boundaries and learn to say no. I couldn't keep doing work that I wasn't getting paid for, and I couldn't keep sacrificing my personal life for my job. So I started to prioritize my time and set realistic expectations for myself.✌️
It wasn't easy, but I'm so glad I did it. I learned that work-life balance is crucial to our well-being, and that we need to take care of ourselves in order to be our best selves😎.
I encourage anyone who's struggling with work-life balance to take a step back and re-evaluate their priorities. It's never too late to make a change and start living the life you truly want.🫵🏻
