I'm sure most of you have had the experience of not being able to find decent food in your hostel. It's like you get served paneer ki sabji without paneer and chapatis that are almost paper-thin. So what's the ultimate solution? Ordering in or making Maggie, right? But have you ever thought how much our health suffers because of this? Even I didn’t coz everything was better than the mess food which was actually a mess LOL😂 Also, we were eating tasty junk food, so who cares, right? Well, it didn't sit well with me.
I started experiencing some serious abdominal pain. It got so bad that my family had to come see me and we went to the doctor. Thankfully, it wasn't anything serious but the doctor advised me to avoid junk food for at least two months and prescribed some medication. I had no idea how I would manage it as the hostel food was really bad. Well, not that bad but it didn’t suit me. So, for a few days, my mom and I stayed at an Airbnb but that wasn't a permanent solution. We eventually found a tiffin centre where I could get healthy and tasty food.
Eating healthy really helped me, but after a couple of months, I started eating from outside again. It's hard when your friends are eating out and you're not. But then the pain returned and I knew I couldn't make the same mistake again.
I started eating in moderation and avoiding binge eating by sticking to a routine. Following a routine was challenging but it made me more aware of my body and what foods suit and what don’t. So, I want to urge all young people to make mindful choices when it comes to eating. Your body deserves to be a priority, so don’t eat things just because everyone else is eating them. Stick to your routine and make it work for you.

My first solo adventure was like stepping into a whole new world🌍. I had just started earning money by doing freelance work during my third year of college. The idea of exploring a place all on my own had always been a dream of mine, and with my first paycheck, I decided to make it come true by heading to Jaipur, not far from my hometown Kota.😁
I've always loved history, so Jaipur with its stunning palaces, ancient forts, and amazing architecture was a perfect fit for me😇. Each fort had its own stories to tell, and I couldn't help but imagine what life was like for the royals who lived there.👑
At first, the thought of traveling alone made me a bit nervous, but as time went on, I started feeling more confident. I explored forts like Nahargarh, Amer, Jaigarh, and visited beautiful places like Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal. The best part was that I could take all the time I wanted to soak up the history without worrying about a schedule.⌚
I felt so free to go wherever I pleased without any restrictions. And for girls who might have concerns about traveling alone, here's a tip: if you have family in the place you're visiting, like I did in Jaipur, it can help ease worries.😉
I really think everyone should try going on a solo trip at least once. It's not just about feeling more confident – it's also about discovering your independence. I used to be really shy, and had trouble asking for help, but being alone forced me to be brave and self-reliant.
So, whether you're into history or just want to find your own path, consider taking a solo adventure.✌🏻
