Once upon a time, when I was little, I went on a magical trip to Bikaner. Even though I can't remember every place we visited, the feelings from that journey still fill my heart with joy.🥰
It was my very first bus ride🚌, and I felt like a brave explorer on the upper bunk. When we arrived in Bikaner, it started pouring rain☔. Our hotel had a big window in the hallway, it was like a big Jharoka😍. We asked the staff to set up chairs so we could enjoy the lovely wind and rain outside. Back then in 2010, things were different; nowadays, it's not so easy to do such things.
We ordered pakoras and chai.. a no-brainer😉. Pakora, chai and rain are synonymous in India. Later, we faced a dilemma - should we venture out or stay in because of the rain? We decided to be adventurous and visit the Karni Mata Temple and Junagarh Fort.🌟
There are about 25,000 rats🐀 in the Karni Mata Temple, And yes I am very scared of rats but luckily, they stayed hidden because of the rain😏. Then we explored the magnificent Junagarh Fort, This fort was built in 1478 by Rao Bika who established the city of Bikaner in 1472, and guess what? It was almost empty due to the rain, so we had it all to ourselves! 🥳The fort was amazing (if you like to read about different cultures then comment down and I will share my fort's experience).👈🏻
