The hype of travelling recently has been so unrealistic. It does sound amazing to leave your 9-5 job and enjoy amazing food, explore different places and just live your best life. But the reality is not as glamorous as it sounds. There are always pros and cons in every situation. I had always been a travel enthusiast, and the idea of living the life of my dreams, travelling to new places every day, and having fun excited me. So, I decided to give it a try. However, little did I know that I would hate this lifestyle.
I started my journey with a place near me, Haridwar and Rishikesh. I took 2 days off before the weekend and started with the trip. I had to plan everything from what I would do, where I would eat, what places were trending that I needed to visit, and literally everything. I couldn’t travel freely, I had to make videos and click pictures, get ready every time I headed out, I had to follow the itinerary as I would miss things, I had to plan the content and accordingly shoot everything.
In all this work, I was missing the beauty of that place. It all became about creating content. I had to get dressed, make content, take pics to post and leave for the next place. After coming back, I realized that I had not spent even a single day at peace.
Travel influencing was not for me. If I had not tried it I would have thought that it is so easy and fun. But, one thing that I have discovered is to try things. It is only by trying that I have realized that not all glamorous things will add glamour to your life. It is important to make personal choices and find what truly makes you happy.
