Growing up, I was always a night owl 🦉✨️. This meant that I had to rush through my morning routine every day. I barely had time to get dressed and fix my hair, let alone have a nutritious breakfast or gather all my things before heading out the door. As a result, I was always forgetful and unfocused. I struggled to concentrate on my work and felt tired all the time. Despite numerous attempts to wake up earlier, I always ended up hitting the snooze button in the morning.
However, my lazy attitude towards my morning routine came to bite me when I moved to a new city for college. No one was there to wake me up or remind me of my responsibilities. I started missing classes and falling behind on my work. I knew I had to make a change. Someone suggested me to read a book "Atomic Habits", where an author mentioned the importance of starting small and various techniques. I then created a night routine, setting a goal to sleep between 10-11 P.M. and eating clean to avoid feeling sluggish. It wasn't easy at first, but I kept at it. I learned to resist the temptation to check my phone before bed, and slowly but surely, I began to feel more rested in the morning.
Next, I decided to create a morning routine. I started with just a few simple things, like meditating for two minutes, working out for ten minutes, etc. Over time, I began to see improvement in my mental and physical health. I was more energized, focused, and productive throughout the day. I also noticed that my relationships with others improved. I was able to approach each day with a positive attitude and a sense of purpose. Having a good morning routine is essential for success. With perseverance and dedication, you too can reap the benefits of it.
